My life experiences, along with my love for movement and theatre, have deeply influenced me — and together, they shape the Inner Song experience.
Why Inner Song?
Remember when you hummed a song? It just happened.
Walking. Playing. In the shower. Doing nothing.
You hummed because you felt like humming.
You probably did it a lot as a child. And then, as you grew up… less and less.
Life got louder.
I went through the same thing.
When I was four, I stacked two tables to reach a box of chocolates. I fell. Bit my tongue. Blood everywhere.
My mom took me to the doctor. My dad came in that evening, after work. I saw him from the corner of my eye as he sat beside me.
I thought he’d put his hand on my head.
Instead, he said:
“Should I get you a third table?”
Something in me decided I wasn’t good enough.
Maybe I wasn’t good enough to be loved.
And after that, whenever something didn’t work — a friendship, a decision, a plan — I’d go back to that same belief:
I’m not good enough.
I was the naughty one. My sister was the well-behaved one. Relatives joked about keeping the glassware out of my reach.
Then one day, my anger went too far.
I hit my sister with a manjeera.
Seven stitches.
Fear. Then guilt.
I decided I would never let anyone see my anger again.
I went quiet. Sometimes for days.
I thought I was becoming strong.
I was burying it.
After marriage and kids, this pattern made me very anxious.
So I started reading, attending workshops and trying to understand myself.
Then I attended a two-day Heal Your Life® workshop.
Something clicked.
I began to understand what was happening underneath my anger — the emotions, the beliefs, the stories — and, importantly, how to express those emotions safely.
I found the work so useful that I decided to train as a Heal Your Life® Teacher.
And that journey eventually became Inner Song.
